17 HBC Secondary students attended Educators Rising Expo at U.S.F. today to explore the career of education. This expo is geared for students who may be interested in the career of teaching. Students were able to attend various sessions including topics of: Special Education, English Language Learners, Middle School Teaching and P is for Pirate - Teaching is a Treasure. Students had lunch on campus, took a campus tour and met with college professors. Great opportunity for our students to be college & career ready! #HBCCollegeCareerReady

Fun, festive and engaging middle school science lesson which allows students to learn how to do the scientific method with SKITTLES! Students wrote a hypothesis and graphed the data and then analyzed the results. $100 Question: Are bags of candy packaged randomly OR by a machine which ensures the same distribution of candies in each bag every time? Our HBC CEO Student Leaders - Elly Klosterbuer, Kenzie Voss, Sam Moser & others are busy planning a Fall Breakfast Bash on Sunday, October 17th from 9:30 AM - 1 PM at Take 15 Event Center, Luverne. This event supports this AMAZING program and these AMAZING students. They will be offering a pancake breakfast consisting of bacon, eggs, pancakes, and drinks. The HBC High School Conditioning Class walked a total of 11 miles in September. They were also active during class in volleyball, whiffle golf and Frisbee Kan Jam! The 8th Grade Physical Education classes played the same activities as the high schoolers, but the 8th graders walked a total of 15 miles in September during PE class!
