On Tuesday, the 9th graders took a field trip to Rock Ranch. The field trip was the culmination of the horse unit. At Rock Ranch, Marie & Jessica discussed - breeds, gaits, tack, how to care for a horse, and answered all the questions from students about vaccinations, care & even horses personalities. Jeff Armin spoke to our Memorable Moments in History elective history class about the Air Traffic Controllers Strike in 1981. President Reagan fired 11,500+ air traffic controllers after PATCO went on strike. Jeff, who was fired, gave insight into the strike and events leading to this memorable moment.
