H-BC Families:
NO SCHOOL FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1: Hills-Beaver Creek Elementary and Secondary Schools WILL NOT be in session for students- Friday, November 1, due to the H-BC Patriots Football team playing in the Section Championship Game. The game is being played at Southwest MN State in Marshall, MN at 12:30 pm. Go Patriots! HBC 1st Quarter marking period now ends on Monday, November 4. 2nd Quarter marking period begins on Tuesday, November 5.
ELEMENTARY PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCE DATE CHANGE: The H-BC Elementary JMC Conference Scheduler is open for the upcoming conferences. Please note the following change: Conferences will be held November 12 and 21. November 12 is a scheduled early dismissal with conferences. New: HBC schools will have an early dismissal on Thursday, November 21, 2024 and Elementary Parent Teacher Conferences. This is a change from the original school calendar moving conferences from November 7 to 21. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding!
ANIMALS AT SCHOOL: Please do not bring pets to school. We have students that have allergies along with other safety concerns. Thank you for being mindful of others.
DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ENDS: Sunday, November 3, 2024 at 2 am.
SCHOOL DAY STARTS AT 8:15 AM: The school day at H-BC Elementary begins at 8:15 am. Children arriving after 8:15 are tardy. Teaching your child to be punctual, shows respect for their teacher and classmates.
Student Behavior Expectations at Extracurricular Events: Students are expected to respect one another the other team and all other spectators. Students must stay in the areas designated by the supervisors of the event. Sitting as a family and watching the game is desired.
Community Invited - VETERANS DAY PROGRAM - Monday, November 11th, 9:00 AM, H-BC Secondary School in Hills. The community is invited to this program honoring our veterans. H-BC Students and Faculty will take part. Elementary students will be bussed to Hills. Students and Community are encouraged to wear red, white & blue. We would like to invite all of our Veterans to participate. Please spread the word!
VETERAN’S PICTURES NEEDED:
For Veteran’s Day at H-BC Schools this November, we will be creating a video honoring local veterans tied to the students and staff of HBC. This video will be presented at the program at 9:00 am on November 11th. If you have a service picture of a veteran who you would like to be included in the slide show, please email their photo, name, military branch, years of service, relation to the H-BC student or staff member to k.untiedt@isd671.net by Friday, November 1st. Thank you!
The HBC Boys and Girls Basketball store is up and running. It will be open until November 3rd at midnight. You can purchase Patriot Basketball or Patriot Pride gear throughout this store. FAMILY FUN: Early Family Childhood Family Education is based on the idea that parents provide their child’s first and most significant learning environment and are the child’s first & most important teacher. Children birth to age 5 and their parents/guardians are invited to join other families from 6:00-7:30 pm at H-BC Elementary on these upcoming Tuesdays: November 19, December 3 and December 17.
AM BUS CHANGES: For morning bus changes please call the HBC bus line--make sure to identify your student and the bus number they are riding.
AM DROP OFF: If it’s raining or you don't see our school staff on the playground in the morning, please drop your student off at Door #1 on the North Side of the School.
