Welcome to Hills-Beaver Creek Elementary!
Spring is right around the corner and so is the end of the 2012-13 school year! It is a busy time of the year with all sorts of graduations including DARE, 6th grade, Little Pates, and Kindergarten. Field trips, made possible by the PTO, are filling up the last two weeks of May. Everyone from Little Pates to 6th graders will be venturing out to explore the walls (sometimes places with no walls like parks) outside of the H-BC Elementary building providing valuable hands-on learning and exploration. Also, grades 3-6 will be taking the state assessments before the school year closes. Parents, please be sure to check out the specific dates on the school website avoiding appointments during this time as much as possible and be sure your child gets sufficient rest and a good breakfast before each of these tests. Grades K-6 will be taking the AIMSweb end-of-year assessments in reading and math in May after state testing is complete. As always, be sure to call the school with any questions or concerns you have. We always like to hear from you!
